Brad specializes in problem-solving, helping successful business owners mitigate the effects of tax and properly plan for the future. Brad studied commerce and accounting at Long Island University in New York. He has completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and he is currently completing the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation. Prior to founding Innovative Capital Protection, Brad started Assured Financial Solutions and consulted with Secure Capital Management where he focused on bringing distinctive tax driven solutions to the Owner Managed Business marketplace. Brad takes great pride putting together a comprehensive plan where the end result is certainty.
Ross Young, CA, FEA, CFP
Ross is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Planner specializing in tax, estate and philanthropic planning for business owners. He also works with charities to develop insurance based endowment programs. Ross worked at a major national accounting firm and earned his CA and CFP designations in 1999.
He subsequently completed the In-Depth Tax Course of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Ross has provided course material and instruction to Chartered Accountants (on estate planning and advanced insurance strategies) for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, and Vancouver. Ross currently serves on the National Board of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.
Vance LeCocq, CPA, CA, TEP
Vance has worked in the insurance industry for the last five years, and prior to that was a partner of a national chartered accounting firm where he led the privately held business and high net worth area of the tax practice and was known for bringing a creative yet practical approach to various situations including transaction based matters (i.e. buying and selling business/assets, succession and estate planning matters, strategies using trusts, and overall tax minimization strategies). Soon after obtaining his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation he completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and practiced full time in tax since 1998.
Vance is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Canadian Tax Foundation and an associate member of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting. He is currently the chairperson of the Calgary Branch of STEP and a member of the STEP Canada Board of Directors.
